These rare Japanese-Style tea bowls or tea cups are multi-function and can also serve as sauce bowls. They are experimental and were only produced for a few years and are both extremely desirable and very hard to find. Heath Ceramics had a strong Japanese influence from potters like Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, two of the premier studio potters of the 20th Century who had a strong influence on studio ceramics, including Heath pottery from the very beginnings of Edith’s career as a pioneer potter in the Mid-Century style. Two bowls feature a classic and rare periwinkle blue-glazed exterior while one features a rare prized Mustard exterior. All three cups have Heath’s earliest speckled matte glazes and Moonstone-glazed interior. They measure 2″ H x 3.5″ W and work beautifully with standard or individual Heath teapots. The bowls are in excellent vintage condition free from chips, cracks, bruises or repairs. Each is marked with the Heath Ceramics, form number and USA. Don’t miss this opportunity to add this rare multi-color Heath Pottery Japanese-Style Tea Bowls Tea Cups to your Mid-Century Modern Studio ceramic collection. It is compatible with Danish Modern, Knoll Mid-Century interiors with furniture and other objects by Isamu Noguchi, Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, and other luminaries. The group complements ceramic collections by the Natzlers, Marguerite Wildenhain, Vivika and Otto Heino, who also used combed decoration on their objects, and other fine potters of the era. BLENKO 1964 ART GLASS 24 TALL DECANTER WITH STOPPER IN TURQUOISE RARE #6426. WHAT YOUR SEEING IS 99.99 % PERFECT. NO GLASS SICKNESS PERFECTLY CLEAN AND AWSOME…. I will also say that I see no scratches chips dings flea bites or anything of that nature on it. I see seven elongated air bubbles within the glass ranging in length from 1/8″ to approximately 1-1/4″, none of them break the surface of the body of this vessel. These can be common to hand blown glass. There is as would be expected slight wear to the base if that. Any White spot you see in the photos is a reflection and not a defect.
