This is a very rare decanter for Blenko glass. It is by Wayne Husted from 1958 and bears the sand blasted company signature to bottom. Also retains most of the foil sticker to top side. It is in a purple amethyst color. It stands 15.25 tall to the top of the stopper. It is so small you could probably grind just a little off the edge and it would be unnoticeable. This extremely rare Pyrex 2 qt. Cinderella Casserole 575-B dish in the Starburst (aka Atomic Starburst) pattern is one of only a few known examples to be produced in a cream – peach – tan test color. Its often referred to in any of those terms. This piece does not have its lid. This piece was used and loved by its original owner. Please carefully review photos. Don’t hesitate to message me if you have any questions or would like to see additional photos. Each of the rounded base corners have some paint scratches. These are not very visible until held to bright light. There is a small, hardly noticeable chip on one handle corner. Attempted to show in photo. There is a small food spot on the underside of one handle. I have not attempted to clean it. Each of the gold stars show some rubbing/wear, as shown in photos. This piece does not come with a lid. Offered is this very rare vintage 1950s Alvar Aalto 3031 glass vase. Its a massive piece measuring 30.5cm tall(12″) and top edge diameter is 30.5cm(12″) x 29cm(11.4). Engraved signature on the base. The condition is excellent with the only damage(other than normal signs of age and use like minor scratches to the base) a shallow flake to the top rim as pictured. This can easily be polished off by a professional as the rim already has a flat ground and polished edge. This is an original early wood mould blown example which you can see by the waviness of the glass. It’s a much more beautiful effect than the newer metal moulded production. Rare Early Rosewood Rocking Chair by Sam Maloof. Rarely constructed in rosewood and upholstered in black leather, this rocking chair was made around 1963. It is an early model that pioneered his later iconic rocking chairs that are sought after by collectors worldwide. This chair is from the collection of John Maloof, the grandson of Sam Maloof. According to John, this chair was originally made for John F. Kennedy, but after the president’s untimely passing, Sam gave it to his daughter, Marilouise, who then passed it down to John. The chair is stamped mark designed made MALOOF California. Literature: A comparable early example is illustrated on page 118 in the book “The Furniture of Sam Maloof” by Jeremy Adamson, W.
