Excellent, age-appropriate condition, completely original, works and keeps good time. It does make a slight humming sound. The cord is made adjustable by fitting the excess into the hollow interior of the clock. Vintage 1950s French table / wall lamp. The lampshade is made of aluminium lacquered black on the outside and white on the inside with a brass decorative screw and plate. There is bent stem fitted with a brass ball joint to allow the shade to adjust. The central stem fitted is with V shaped legs. The metal stem and legs are lacquered black. The switch is placed on the cord. The lamp can be used as a wall lamp and hung from loop situated under the stem. The lamp is in very good / excellent condition and in full working order. The lamp takes one ES E27 bulb. It has its original wiring and press switch. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. Can be used with 110-230v supplies. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. This Mid-Century floor clock is about 63 ½ high, 16 wide and 10 ½ deep overall. The white hour hand is oversize, and the thin red minute hand resembles the second hand in most clocks. This clock is weight driven and has a Westminster chime. It chimes every quarter hour and then on the hour chimes and strike the number of hours. The chime can be turned off if so desired. The clock is all original. It has a clean black finish with a few small age spots. The chrome frame, weights, and pendulum show a few small spots of light tarnish. The oak panel has a clean original finish. The small back access panel is missing, and the pendulum adjustment thread has a bend that could be straightened if desired. It is in good running condition and keeps accurate time. Please look at the photographs as they are considered part of the description. This is an original Mid-Century Modern Howard Miller Clock, not a later reproduction. I guarantee it to be old and as described. Items left over 90 days will be considered abandoned. D ROSE MOD, Inc. RARE 1956 Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman 670 671 Boot Glides Tan. Listed for sale is one of the rarest Eames lounge chairs around. It is a boot glide variation of the 1956 Eames lounge, the first year of production. Even rarer is that it was custom ordered in a tan/natural leather. Almost all of these early examples were black leather with a few brown examples around (and other colors very sparsely). These early sets are fabulously rare and can be identified by a few distinct characteristics. Early on, it was decided to use boot glides on the ottoman. Within months, however, complaints came in about customers losing these boots and therefore a change was made during the same year to begin threading the ottoman underneath to allow for screw-in glides like the chair. Furthermore, 1956 examples had three holes in the armrest brackets for three screws. Within a short period of time also, they decided only two were needed and therefore, those examples after only had two holes drilled for the armrests (this example has three holes). This example has both of these rare characteristics and can date it relatively precisely to early 1956. Along with this, the chair features early round steel clips and down filled leather cushions. The white Herman Miller (round) is. Also found on chairs dating the to the mid to late 1950’s. They are soft and properly plump for a chair of this vintage. No tears or rips are present on any of the cushions. These are down filled cushions and are beautifully worn. The rosewood shells are in great shape aside from the visible wear. The finish is lovely and all original. The shock mounts are in good shape and the chair still holds strong. The aluminum bases are in great condition. Paint is all there.
