Very rare Italian Mid Century modernist table lamp in red shrink paint. A georgeous minimalistic design from the 1950s. Big round screen with rare cast iron beak shaped base. Fully functional with one E27 socket. Great condition with great patina. No bumps or dents. A little color abrasion on the top, which can be seen on the pictures. The red color has faded a little over the years. Fits every style of furnishing. Suitable for all living areas and very decorative. Works with 220V and 110V. Wiring is in order and suitable for all countries. On request additionally a plug adapter for many countries can be given for free. Height: 33 cm /13.0″ Diameter of screen: 35 cm / 13.8″ Foot: 25×15 cm / 9.8x 5.9 On request additionally a plug adapter for many countries can be given for free. Adrian Pearsall by LANE Kidney Shape Coffee Table Mid-Century Walnut Rare Piece. Adrian Mount Pearsall was born in Trumansburg New York. As a young man he went to the University of Illinois and studied Architectural Engineering. He graduated in 1950. He was also a keen sailor but what he is most noted for is his contribution to mid century modern furniture design. Adrian Pearsall founded Craft Associates in Pennsylvania in 1952 to manufacture his own designs. By the late 1950’s his designs incorporating walnut became hugely popular and cemented Pearsall as a Designer to be reckoned with. He had great flair as a designer and was brave and modern in his approach. No doubt his Architectural background influenced this. His designs were considered to be part of the’Atomic Age’ design at the time and are now icons of this design period. Excellent condition, with normal signs of wear as shown above. Authentic Original 1950s/1960s made by Lane Kidney Shape Glass top coffee table. 64″ L x 34″ W (Max) 16.5″ W (Min) x 14.5″ H. I cant find a label but after some basic research youll see similar models. The fabric (felt like material) upholstery is unbelievable. The children said their mother paid a fortune for it when they were children (60s) and NO ONE was allowed to sit in it up to her death. Ive never seen anything like it. The first picture was taken in the Long Island home. Condition is very good for its age. The legs have some wear. It measures 91 (65+26) x 26 x 26H. Its part of an estate from Long Island, NY. The lady lost her husband in 1967 and left everything as is. She passed in March. Ill be listing more furniture in the coming days. All mid century and being from the same estate. This is a hobby. Im not an expert on anything. Feel free to ask questions… What a cool piece. This is the most awesome mid-century modern Lucite lamp EVER! The lamp is not crooked–the photographer was! The shade is made of strips of orange composite of some type and the remainder of the lamp is Lucite. There are no chips, cracks or damage other than a dark spot on the shade at the very top–possibly a light bulb was too hot. This lamp works perfectly and has the original cord. There are no makers marks that I can see anywhere on the lamp. The lamp is 19″ in total height and 14″ across at the widest point. The lamp is not really heavy, but large.
