Ceramic Sculpture of a Monkey Gunnar Nylund Rörstrand Rare Midcentury Modern
A really rare sculpture of a monkey in ceramic designed by Gunnar Nylund at Rörstrand with a lovely glaze. It is 21 x 14 cm (8,4″ x 5,6) and 16 cm (6,4″) high. It is in mint condition and comes with the original wooden base. Gunnar Nylund was born in Paris 1904 with parents who worked as sculptors and designer so he really soon started hos own career as designer for the Danish brand Bing & Grondahl where he worked until 1928. After that he together with Nathalie Krebs established the ceramics workshop Saxbo in Denmark. In 1931, Gunnar Nylund was then asked to start working for Rörstrand in Lidköping, Sweden. He worked there until 1955, most of the time as artistic director. After Gunnar Nylund Carl-Harry Stålhane became the artistic director for Rörstrand. Gunnar Nylund freelanced for Rörstrand for many years after 1955.

49 Vintage MarCrest Night & Day? ” Stainless Flatware Modernist Unique Pieces I searched the internet exhaustively and couldn’t find this pattern anywhere but one spot and they had this pattern identified as “Night & Day. A couple of the large flatware replacement sites had photos of this pattern, but none in stock, and unidentified. Having some similar MarCrest patterns listed (example – Atomic Burst), I feel comfortable in saying this is a MarCrest branded set based on the “Stainless Japan” stamping on the back side of the pieces. If anyone knows for sure and wouldn’t mind dropping me a quick note, I’d certainly appreciate your time! The entire set includes. 2 tablespoons, but a bit larger. 7 butter knives small. 1 odd dinner knife. 1 big 3 prong knife.
