Rare and beautifully carved Vintage Raymor Alabaster Ashtray with its’ Original Raymor Label still affixed to the back… Hand made in Italy with gorgeous natural formations around the outside, polished within the ashtray area and underneath. Mid Century Modern piece with a stunning and attractive multi-colored green etc natural stone. In wonderful condition, and displays beautifully. Has minor expected wear for its age to the very bottom of the ashtray area as shown. May be able to research further if desired. Measures overall 6.5-6.75 diameter, varying by its superb natural shape and is 1.75 H. The ashtray receptacle area is 4 diameter. Solid as when first carved, no crack damage, chips etc. Small area at bottom of ashtray indentation is worn as shown… Had to use a direct light to make it visible. Base is brown with yellow and orange half-circle discs decorating the body and base. The inside of the bowl, as well as the lower perimeter at the base, has an off-white glaze. The bowl is marked: 95/224 Italy on the inside of the base (see photo). 8.25″ tall x 8.75″ in diameter. A vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian Brutalist abstract sculpture made of metal copper, welded and in excellent condition. Wear consistent with age and use, circa 1950, Italy. Marcello Fantoni was an Italian designer and producer born in 1915 Florence, Italy and passed away in 2011. In 1927, Fantoni started his apprentice at the Institute of Art at Porta Romana, and received his masters in 1934. Fantoni opened soon his own ceramic studio, where he designed and produced unique pieces. His works were displayed in private collections and in the most important museum of the world. In 1970, he founded the International School of Ceramic Arts in Florence, Italy. Depth: 6.5 in. Mid-Century Modern (Of the Period). Wear consistent with age and use. Rare MCM Empoli 17-1/4 Inch Electric Yellow Art Glass Vase (1960s 70s Ex). For sale is a fabulous mid-century modern Empoli art glass vase, the beautiful mold blown form consisting of five graduated balls nicely finished with a hand-formed ruffled rim. Vase measures 17-1/4 inches in height to the highest part of the rim, the largest bottom ball measuring 5-1/2 inches in diameter, being in excellent condition without any chips, cracks, or repairs, showing a few small, barely noticeable flaws from manufacture (Note; the bottom ball has three barely noticeable patches of reddish-brown inclusions, and the second ball up has a line of the same colour “see 6th & 7th photos, by far the most noticeable shown, and there is a small rough spot well hidden under the rim from being formed “see 8th photo). Rare Mid Century Modern Ernestine Salerno Italy Pottery Centerpiece Vase. Colors are green mixed with black and a bright orange. Measures approximately 10 1/2 inches in height and 9 inches in width at the the widest point. 28 1/2 inches around the vase at its widest point. Mouth of the vase is a little over 3 inches. The vase has a few “imperfections” on the glaze which is normal. The inside is a bit dusty/dirty for sitting for many years. Otherwise the vase is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. Vase by Barovier & Toso, Italy, 1960s. Red, white and transparent cased Murano Glass. Etched signature on bottom “Barovier & Toso Murano”. Height 38 cm/15 inches. Incamiciato vase (red exterior/white interior) is a virtually impossible-to-find example of Barovier & Toso’s production during the 1960s. Excellent vintage condition, no chips or damage. The Barovier family has been a premier glass maker in Venice for 700 years. At 30 he became a partner in his father’s company, the Vetreria Artistica Barovier & C. After becoming its artistic director in 1926, he took over its management with his brother Nicol. Barovier became the only director in 1936, fostering the fusion between his own glass workshop and the S. A. I. A. R. During WWII the new company was renamed Barovier & Toso. Over the course of his 50-year activity. Invented numerous decorative techniques that contributed significantly to the modern reinvention of glass art in Venice. Hence, these vases are increasingly rare. The Incamiciato vase is a classic Venetian modern vase types? The white interior is encased (incamiciato) in the red exterior. Century, Ercole Barovier produced some of the most remarkable art glass in Venice in the same company of artists as Carlo Scarpa, Fulvio Bianconi, Paolo Venini, Vittorio Zecchin, Gio Ponti, and others.
