RARE -Huge -Large Midcentury Danish Modern Holmegaard Per Lutken Glass Freeform Bowl. Measures approximately 7″ tall x 9.5″ across. Holmegaard 1961 etched on base with Per Lutken sign. Bowl is in excellent condition for its age, displays beautifully! Has some scratches to base and minor fleabite chips to top edge.. Some scratches from age. See pictures for best description.

Next, he admits that to capture the clarity, brilliance, and shape of such a piece in photographs is challenging for an amateur. Even to describe its shape!! From one perspective this petite vase is heart-shaped, from another, teardrop or pear-shaped. And in that aspect of form it is so rare as to not be found elsewhere here at the moment. He would have you note that its artist, Per Lutken, is mentioned in the 1960 Encyclopedia Brittanica. So this is definitely a mid-century modern item! This particular vase stands 3 inches (75 mm) tall and 3 inches in diameter at its widest. Object weight is 13.9 ounces (394 grams). All the colors, streaks, clouds, and lines that may be seen in the photos are mere reflections; the glass is clear and colorless. In condition the vase is nearly perfect –no water clouding, spots, bubbles, inclusions, chips, dings, or sharp edges anywhere. The base does not even show shelf wear. Here we have a gorgeous 1960’s glass ceiling light made by Holmegaard of Denmark. The glass is blown and comes in a wonderful condition in a gorgeous yellowy, ambery brown colour. This mid century piece really is beautiful, a must for the Scandi inspired home, Holmegaard collector or retro lover. Including teak finial it measures approximately 14.5 inches by approximately 12 inches. I think this would fit in well in any home – with modern, traditional or vintage decor.
