This 1960s original desk lamp is from famed Italian post-war artist Gaetano Missaglia. But I liked it so I bought it. Sometimes I have good taste. It was not working when I got it so I had a lamp expert rewire it and find the appropriate bulb for it. It works like a champ now. Handiness is not my strong suit so I turn to experts for help. Which brings me to the condition. I would say it is in good but not perfect condition. The acrylic or lucite (or what ever it is) in overall good shape. The might be a surface scratch on the left side that is shown as a straight line running right over the curve as shown in photo 6. It does not appear to be deep and you really have to be looking for it. That is the biggest apology in the acrylic. There is some other light, light scratching. There also looks to be internal flaw that is about an 1/8 of an inch long as shown in photo 7. It does not appear to be on the surface but inside the acrylic. I did nothing to the brushed metal surface except a little gentle cleaning. Smack drab in the middle of the metal is what looks like sticker residue. I did not attempt to remove it —- see the part about me being not handy. I have ruined a couple items while trying the remove a price sticker God, I hate price stickers. But my guess is that it will be easily removed by someone who knows what they are doing. I did not want to risk it. You can see the sticker residue in multiple photos. Other wise the brushed metal has some surface wear — best seen in photo 9. Again, this may be able to be cleaned up to look brand new again. Overall I think it is in good shape. There is an original Missaglia sticker on the back. No PO Boxes please. Must have a street address. Please check out all my photos and ask questions about this item if needed.
