A pair of seldom seen, early Knoll Model 145 chairs, designed by Kurt Nordstrom in 1954 for Knoll International. Produced only until 1960, these elegant chairs were created in Teak veneer with black tubular steel frames/legs, and have solid brass fittings. Very good condition with minor marks/scratches commensurate with their age. One chair has a missing spot of base veneer on the underside of the seat (see photos), and another small area with veneer that is intact but should be re-glued. Both of these spots are not visible unless the chair is upside down. Minor surface oxidation at some of the weld points on underside of chairs. Feet/gliders are solid birch, and both chairs retain their original early 50’s fabric Knoll labels. Fully original as far as we can tell with no modifications or structural damage, and sturdy enough to be used by us as occasional chairs in a design office for the past decade. Ultra Rare 1950s Mid Century Modern LIGHTOLIER ATOMIC TRIPOD BRASS LAMP GERALD THURSTON RARE. It measures 26″ High and the Shade is 16″ Diameter. It’s all original (including, shade and sockets and wiring) and works well – 3 light switch option – only 1 bulb, only 2 or all 3 – as demonstrated on photos. However, rewiring is strongly recommended. Shade shows wear – see close up photos. The diffuser has burns from light bulbs (from someone placing it upside down in the past) – photo 9. Featuring twin, double adjustable and perforated conical red shades, curved tubular rod and circular base. Very similar to Kurt Versen Product No. Original condition with wear from age and use, original cord. Lamp is working, bulbs not included. Vintage 1950s table lamp. The lampshade is made of aluminium lacquered white on the outside and white on the inside. There are perforations and a decorative brass handle. The stem is one piece of bent metal tubing twisted to form legs and stem lacquered white. The switch is placed on the cord. There is one brass bulb socket. The lamp is in excellent / very good vintage condition and in full working order. The lamp takes one ES E27 bulb. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. Can be used with 110-230v supplies. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects.
