
This vase is just shy of 11 tall. This beauty is in EXCELLENT condition as it was very well preserved and has no chips, marks or cracks. Please see pics as they are part of this description. Lapid Pottery was Founded by Pesach Freedman in 1943-44. Earliest pieces were Hand-painted & Honey-Glazed, like this Vase. They often Featured Gazelles (or Deer), which were Inspired by the Factory Workers’ Native Countries. Later pieces are rough-finished & Have a Modernistic Design. The Factory Closed (after 47 years) in 1990. This is a Rare, Early Mid-Century Modern Art Piece (MCM). Theme Here is Leaping Gazelles / Deer, with a unique line structure pattern. Late 1940’s or Early 1950’s. Honey-glazed, High-Gloss Ceramic Israeli.
