ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing and rare vintage space age lamp. Materials: Chrome, Acrylic, Wood. There are fifteen (15) metal spokes that radiate outward and downward from the top, and they each end at staggered heights. At the end of each of these spokes is a clear round acrylic ball (see photos). Contained within there are three sockets encased in chrome shells (again, see photos). There is an on/off rotary knob switch embedded into the front of the wooden base, and it allows the lamp to have three-way functionality: either one, two, or all three lights can be lit up depending on how much light you desire. We are uncertain as to the maker of this beauty as there are no tags or labels present. It’s a definite statement piece that’ll look great in any modern interior setting! MEASUREMENTS : The lamp stands approx. 41″ tall x 18″ wide x 18 deep. The black wooden base measures 6 cubed. Each of the fifteen (15) acrylic balls measure approx. The three light sockets are set at staggering heights from the base – the lowest being 12″, then 16″ and finally 17.5 high. CONDITION : Very good condition – no breaks, bends, rust, oxidation, pitting, etc. The chrome could benefit from a gentle cleaning / polishing, but it does display nicely in its current state. One of the acrylic balls has an area on it where it looks like it began to melt from an excessively hot bulb. This ball can be turned to face the back, and it can also be rotate on its metal spoke so that it isn’t seen. The wood base shows some minor color loss along the edges, and there are some tiny white specks on it – probably from when someone was painting. The white specks also appear on the round wooden disc at the very top of the lamp (see photos). Wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it’s in great shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition.
