For sale is a 5 cm (2 inch) cube acrylic hourglass designed by Tapio Wirkkala and produced in the 1960s. It was commissioned by Mannerheimin Lastensuojelulitto and is marked Lapselle (for a child). It is in very nice shape for being around a half a century old and makes a great desk accessory. It does have some light scratching on the top and bottom which is to be expected for something of its age. There is also a 1/8 ding on one of the corners of the cube. I have come across a number of these and I have never seen a flawless one, but this one displays very nicely. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
