LARGE RARE WESTWOOD TONY PAUL MODERN WALNUT BRASS SCULPTURE TABLE LAMP 1950’s. DESIGN: A large and incredibly rare sculptural Modern Walnut and Brass table lamp designed by Tony Paul for Westwood lighting circa 1950’s. This designs staggered Walnut/Brass profile is reminiscent of Tony Pauls’ similar large stacked cone shaped floor and table lamp designs from the same era with the additional profoundly altered stealthy Walnut disk sections. Manufactured of solid select dark Walnut wood and Brass finished cast sections all very well engineered and crafted. Crowned with the original Brass finial which mounts t. He Off White Linen shade which is a contemporary replacement to the original that casts the ideal glow upon the dynamic form. I have handled hundreds of Westwood lamps over my decades of curating but I have never come across this design anywhere leading me to believe it was a sales sample or very limited production… Adding to that its sublime pristine condition and its does not get any better than this… You will likely never see this exquisite design again! CONDITION : This stunning Atomic Modern lamp is in exceptional condition, completely intact and fully functional. Original wood finish shows no obvious signs of wear or age while the hefty Brass/plated sections shows just some small spots of finish loss to the original clear coat. Original 3 way socket and power cord have been inspected to be clean and safe. Westwood manufactures label mostly intact on socket. The Off-White colored Linen shade is a new contemporary replacement and virtually perfect. DIMENSIONS: This fairly large lamps general dimensions are 32″ tall with an overall width of 6″ to the Brass/Wood form. The fabric shade shown is 12″ wide X 16″ high, the actual shade delivered may vary ever so slightly in fabric and details due to suppliers availability. Ulb is NOT included.

These Mid-Century Modern Lamps are AWESOME! My pictures aren’t doing them the justice they deserve! They are super heavy as made with real marble and solid brass. They weigh close to 15 lbs each! And with the original shades! On the outside, the shades are good-decent. Inside you will see some wear as indicated from my photo. On the outside, nothing is seen. I will say, the shades do have a slight odor. The base and all is in very good. You see the top weather vain? Oh i love these! They are in perfect working condition. The one lamp has its nob missing but not an issue as they turn on from the cord switch-indicated in photos. I was told they were by Tony Paul for Westwood industries, but I have no way of telling. Please view the 24 pictures. THEY MEASURE: They stand 3 feet tall! Add another 5” for the top weather vain piece that screws on after you place the shades on. The base is 7” wide. The shades are 13 x 9” (9” top) bottom of shade is 19′. These will come in 3 boxes.

This is a one of a kind Tony Evans Mid Century Modern Opalescent Vase On a Hand Forged Iron Stand. It was fabricated in the 1970’s. And it is signed on the bottom. The opalescent color is almost impossible to photograph. Think of the inside of an Abalone Shell, and that is those are the radient of colors this magnificent creation. This scupture/vase simply sparkles in a room, especially when light hits it. And it gorgeous from every single angle. Tony Evans was a renowned art glass and raku ceramic artist. He was also a well known scientist who specialized in nautural materials. And was considered a leading expert in metals, glass, stone and how they functioned with one another. Tony Evans was a professor both at Harvard and Princeton during his career. Throughout, he was the recipient of numerous awards for his outstanding work in glass and ceramics. He was born in 1942 and passed in 2009. This exquisite tribute to this wonderful artist is being made available for the first time from our collection of Mid Century Art. Fabulous pair of mid century modern wrought iron and glass candlesticks stand app. 12″ tall, on heavy 4″ square glass bases, with sea green sides 3/4 thick. Made and signed by the multi faceted Tony Evans in California, the candlesticks feature removable bobeches held with rubber gaskets, and Gothic wrought iron pedestals which have been gilded. While there are small chips to the heavy glass bases, there are no other damages or problems, and each base is signed “Evans” in the artist’s hand. Slightly ecclesiastical in design, and substantially made, the candlesticks will make a statement where ever they are placed, and are offered with out reserve. This design is a tour de force of clean aesthetic minimalism that proves less is more! Tony Paul uses symmetry, line and proportion to achieve an iconic design that is coveted by interior designers and design aficionados everywhere! This lamp makes a magnificent statement and captures the eye as only a Tony Paul design can! Like some futuristic skyscraper this lamp soars up with three tiered tubes all crowned with large globe light bulbs that produce copious amounts of interior light. This is a design that can light up a whole room if necessary! Elegant as well as modern, this design is timeless! This lamp is a work of art. It looks as contemporary today as it did nearly half a century ago! This example has the coveted white enamel finish – which goes with every color scheme and decor! Lamp is in excellent condition. Only very light wear to rare white enamel. The sockets are porcelain and the lamp has an amazingly well preserved switch that turns on the lamp. All original electrics work perfectly. This gorgeous lamp will complement any distinguished interior, whether it be a NY penthouse, case study home, or Palm Springs atomic ranch.
