Rare Stiffel Vtg Mid Century Modern Tension Pole Lamp Retro High Heel Fn Atomic. This is for a rare Stiffel Tension lamp complete and functional. This is one of their best designs in my opinion very cool details switch is functional plug works and all lights turn on it is a three way switch. The lamp does have where which is normal for how old this is. The brass center is tarnished could be cleaned but still displays very well. The cones overall look really great with the gold details the only thing that is missing is the diffusers witched with time you could find replacements I just face the lights upward and it still looks really great. The bottom has a That goes on the floor so as you can see from the 11th photo it might look a little weird but once you display this lamp that part is hidden. This lamp is pretty tall it measures, about 110 I have lived in a number of apartments especially older ones in Chicago where the ceilings are tall and this thing always worked. This is for a very rare mid century tension room divider that is complete. As anything vintage there is normal normal wear but the overall condition of this item is good. Here are some of the features that this unique item has. First like I said everything is complete. All tension parts are there and functioning properly shelves sit flat and the smaller ones are adjustable they can move however you like left or right. All shelves are clean no major stains only minor wear as you can see from the photos. Both bulbs unscrew and screw in easily, the bulbs overall are in good condition some of the print is faded on the glassware as you can see whats nice is its easy to find replacements I just never did so almost all lights will screw into this fixture the only issue the is one of the glass domes has a very small chip on the bottom but you do not see this because of the length also the bottom curves in hiding that. By the lights is a gold brass curl one of those curls moves easily which is no big deal just stating it and there is a Cap that goes in front of it which is missing again very cosmetic and really takes nothing away from the lamp. Its very small and cosmetic just stating it for a full description. All the wiring is soft has been tested and has no issues lite one or two bulbs. Tension rods movies elite once this is up it is very sturdy. I only used this for a little while I live in the city in my apartment has very tall ceilings very tall this works in most homes and has some good height to it. Taller than most tension lamps I have owned a ton of them and this one stands a little taller than most. Here are all the dimensions. Tension light fixture 97 inches tall Long shelf on bottom is 11 1/2 inches wide 3 feet long small shelf 15 1/2 inches long 11 1/2 wide. Light fixtures 1 foot mom 4 inches wide. Extremely rare Poul Cadovius Mid Century Modern tension pole Cado Wall System / room divider. This gorgeous two bay system works with 8′ ceilings and consists of three solid teak poles which are double sided so that it can be used as a room divider by interchanging the shelving between the front and back of the unit or as a wall unit by placing all the shelves along one side. This set will work with other Poul Cadovius Royal System components that use the peg system so that you can add on to the set. The set includes: (1) three (3) solid teak double sides poles with metal tension supports on either end (2) five (5) teak shelves with triangular supports; each shelf branded “Made in Denmark” (3) two (2) magazine / book shelves This two bay system is completely modular and the shelves can be positioned anywhere on the rails. The teak color & grain are outstanding and the cabinets and rails are in very good vintage condition. These Wall Systems are very functional & sought after as they are rare and very collectible. One of Gerald Thurston’s contributions to lighting design, the “scissor lamp” stands as a seminal work, inaugurating the designer within the ranks of Mid-Century icons. Featuring metal and brass, its definitive of the functional design characteristic to Mid-Century Modernism furnishings. Condition is used functional. The scissor mechanism and adjustments function fine. Lamp has no mesh diffuser screen and On Off button may need replacement or adjustment although it turns on when plugged in. Spring tension unit in pole housing supports perfect when placed in vertical position. This is the original scissor pole mount lamp and not the more common wall mount type. This is a nearly 50 year old item and appears to have the standard wear and use. Pole Length- 105.5. Any questions, please ask before purchasing.
