This listing is for a set of 4 chairs. Manufactured by The Keller co. They measure in inches. Seat is 18.50 tall. 20 wide at the front and 14 wide at the back. The captain chair: floor to armrest 24.25 tall. The seats are NOT original! They were damaged, so replaced with some same era Stanley ones. NOT attached to the frames. One corner under the seat seems to have been reglued (armchair). This item is vintage, please expect some surface marks, stain rubbed etc due to age and use. Not all items have been exclusively in my possession, so I can’t guarantee the environment in which they have always been stored. There are multiple high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. This piece is a tour de force of hand carving, absolutely exquisite work, there are a few versions of this. Lamp, the more modern versions have allot less detail and the caring is generally allot cruder, the master that made this piece knew his trade and his tools very well, he has captured perfectly the body. Language, the facial expression, everything is just spot on, these pieces are folk art and very highly collectable. We have fully restored it to make it safe and usable for the 21st century, the light fitting has been replaced with a modern mount, all new wiring, plug and switch, it is now ready to go. After purchasing 2 books of Haeger pottery so that I can research this cat, I have found that it is identified as An Egyptian cat and it was in the Haeger 1957 catalog. Someone started listing these cats as winking cats, for obvious reasons, but the company classified it as an Egyption cat and the color is Mandarin Orange. It is an amazing piece of art! They are difficult to locate in this bright orange color. And he is 21 inches tall and nearly 5 pounds. Other orange cats that you will find online are only 15 inches tall. He is nearly perfect for his age. You can see a little chipping on the bottom, and the glaze looks a little spotty in a couple areas. I’m not going to say that this is a one of a kind, but, you just aren’t going to find another like it for sale. See photos and thanks for looking.
