Description ——- One (1), rare & out-of-production, magnificent, vintage 1960s, cast iron, HOBART , originally known as the CD 30 (CD for CAMPDEN DESIGN range) fruit stand or tazza, designed by Robert Welch in 1961. Stand has its original, raw iron finish which was intentional – wabi-sabi – meant to acquire a patina of time. Piece should be kept dry. It has acquired a lightly aged patina over the years, but has been well-kept, with minimal rust. Two parts – top tray unscrews from the base. Base can be used alone as a pillar candle holder. Approximate size: 6 tall x 10 diameter, overall. Shown with a large lemon, for scale. Marks ——- marked R. WELCH ENGLAND deeply, in the casting, visible when base is unscrewed from tray.
