It has some spotting in the chrome as shown. There was some tape on the bottom and when removed it pulled some plating off (as shown). It works but will not come with a light bulb.

Fantastic pair of Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs faux leather wrapped table lamps. These lamps are rare, even more rare in colors (white & black are typically what you see), and rarer yet that you find a matching pair. These lamps are working and in outstanding condition.
Offering an IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. Matching PAIR of GEORGE KOVACS floor lamps from the late 1970’s. Both lamps work perfectly. Gorgeous very sleek retro mid-century modern high-tech design by Ettore Sottsass. They were very expensive at the time. If memory serves, I bought these at the Roche Bobois high-end furniture store in Beverly Hills, California. For many years and were seldom used, but I live in a small apartment now and they have been in storage for awhile. And it is time to let someone else enjoy them. The round black metal bases do show wear from thirty years of use. And ten years in storage. There is some corrosion, edgewear, small scratches and other blemishes to the bases but. It would be very easy and not very expensive at all to sand the bases down and repaint them so they look brand new. Please inspect all of the close-up photos carefully. Dimensions are 41 inches tall. Base diameter is 11 inches. But frankly, I’m not sure what one would do with just one of these. This may be the only working pair of these lamps available in the entire world. They are located approximately 40 miles north of downtown Chicago.
Rare vintage mid century Kovacs Design Group battery operated clock, consisting of a brass plated steel cylindrical tower, mounted on a circular base, with a time dial and a synchronized single rotating arm in an acrylic window, encased in the top, crowned with a brass cap. Measures 49″ tall, 4″ in diameter, base is 1/4″ thick and 9″ in diameter. Reminiscent of several Robert Sonneman lamp designs, who worked for Kovacs.
