This is a rare piece by Tomlinson – from their’Rare Veneers’ line of the mid century era. This’expanding’ table has sliding ends which pull out to expose the area for the leaf on each end (quite unique). Though the wood type is no listed, we feel this may be a’zebrawood’ veneered table with cherry wood as the base underneath. Regardless of the wood type, it is quite stunning in appearance. There are two wrought iron stretchers stemming from the unique, Spanish-style, leg structures. The table does come with both leaves (not pictured due to location). Width – varies betwixt 72″ (no leaves) to 90″ (one leaf) to a max of 108 inches with both leaves installed. Height – 29 1/8 inches. Depth – 44 inches. This rare dining table is located here in the Classic city of Athens, Georgia and can be seen by appointment during the run of the listing.
