Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage atomic era table lamp. The base is constructed of iron, and there are two ceramic inserts, one rests at the very top and serves as a shallow dish – perhaps for some faux plants, and the other insert is also ceramic and encloses the light bulb. Both ceramic pieces are off-white in color, with thin black paint swirls throughout. The lamp stands approx. The ceramic dish / bowl at the top has a diameter of approx. 11, and it is approx. The ceramic encasement around the light bulb measures approx. 8″ tall x 6″ in diameter. The distance between the legs is approx. Condition: Excellent condition – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, bends, dents, dings, etc. The interior side of the dish at the top shows some minor signs of light discoloration from age and use – nothing objectionable whatsoever (see photos)… We’re solely mentioning it for accuracy. The electrical wiring is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc, and it looks to be original to the lamp. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked prior to long-term use. NOTE : The lamp will be packaged with extreme care. Very scarce and likely one of the rarest pieces from the ever popular midcentury modernist Silver Band pattern of Dorothy Thorpe fine crystal tableware with genuine sterling silver band to the foot. Fresh from a fine old Denver estate, and offered with No Reserve. Condition is very good to excellent overall showing light and minor use and minimal wear or scratching to their silver bands. No chips, cracks, repairs, or other damage. This pattern has become an icon of good mid century modern design and can now be found in the 20th century industrial design collections of many museums. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage abstract face sculptural table lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp has a standard rotary knob switch located at the socket. It is inscribed “Heifetz” along the back edge of the lamp where the electrical cord emerges from the base (see photo). No shade present – that’ll be left up to the winning purchaser to provide on their own. This lamp is a definite statement piece that’ll make a nice addition to any modern interior setting! The lamp stands approx. 19.5 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The wood base measures approx. 16.75″ tall x 8.25″ wide x 5.25 deep. The abstract face measures approx. 9″ tall x 5.5″ wide. Condition: Given its age, the lamp is in very good condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some minor paint loss in spots on the abstract face (see photos) – they can be easily touched up, or just left alone. We chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The biomorphic base shows some color wear, and there are spots where it looks like it may have come into contact with moisture. It can easily be restained, or again, just left alone. In our opinion, it does not interfere with the overall display of the lamp. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamp is b. All sales are final. This is an ultra-rare GE77 daybed by Hans Wegner for Getama. The daybed has trundle which allows the piece to turn into a double bed when the back bolster is inserted into the trundle space. Teak and painted wood frame; the back of the piece is grey. Professionally reupholstered in Kvadrat Hallingdal’0200′ fabric in 2019; upholsterer reused original springs. The piece also comes with the original green cotton blanket that extended to cover the seat when used as a daybed. The piece is in solid, functional shape with a few quirks. The back bolster and seat cushion are a tight fit when the daybed is fully extended. There is a 2 divot approx. 1.5″ deep in the bottom base of the daybed and a 1/4″ hole on the right side of the wooden frame. The left metal leg is crooked and one back leg is missing veneer. And while the daybed has been slipcovered since 2019, there are some irregularities and repaired snags in the fabric. NOTE: piece is unmarked but Getama pieces weren’t always signed before the 1970s. 78 1/2″ wide x 26 1/4″ high x 40 deep” x 54″ deep when extended. Double and queen sheets fit. A very nice vintage (circa 1983) example as pictured. Missing one knurled knob screw as pictured. It was this way when we bought it. The screw present is the correct thread pattern and functions as it should. Lamp has minor wear consistent with age and use. Rare in the states. RARE VINTAGE LAGARDO TACKETT EGG HEAD HOUSEFLY 1959 8 1/2 inch. A fabulous, rare vintage find, this 1959 Egghead discrete storage jar from Schmid was designed and signed by Mid Century Artist La Gardo Tackett. This minimalist’HOUSEFLY’ egg head storage jar was made to store condoms in a discrete manner, and was marketed at the back of Playboy and Esquire magazines. Made with many different, unique faces, this is THE gift to give to that someone who has everything and has eclectic taste! It’s anything but a plain storage jar; the funky charm of this Tackett original will encourage you to display it prominently even if there’s nothing in it. The jar is white ceramic with black paint. CONDITION: It’s in good condition with a layer of crazing, and measures 8.5 tall. Missing cork at bottom but still a great rare display piece.
