Rare, original Alvino Bagni ceramic Meridian clock, style #7589, imported by Raymor for the Howard Miller Clock Company. Black glaze with an abstract red swirl pattern that Bagni has used for vases and other items. Hands by George Nelson. A vintage mid-century modern decorator piece, circa 1960s. Measures about 13.25 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep (including mounting hardware). The clock takes a “C” battery and appears to keep time well. In very good condition – could use a more thorough cleaning, but I’ll leave that to someone who has a more gentle touch than I do. The only noticeable defect is the minute hand has a small crack and a 1/8-inch by 1/8-inch chip to the white finish, not unusually for surviving examples of the Meridan clock line.
