Rare original Strand Theatre/studio lamp stand. Surplus to requirements (sad but true). Check those lovely little atomic Bakelite ball toggle-clamps in black and maroon. The hooky bit is to hang your looped lamp cable on. Levelling bolts in the base could be replaced with castors for ease of movement. Fully extended height a little over 7 feet 4 inches. Lowest height around 4 feet. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Why have a pale imitation, or one of those (frankly wrong) wooden surveyors’ tripods when you can have the real thing to hold your Strand lamp? Please check all the photos. It will necessitate two packages. One for the base unit, another for the upright. Mid-century modern pair of lucite and ash wood chairs. Beautiful rare Danish modern lines. Perfect design yin and yang, these chairs’ Lucite frames are tantalizingly juxtaposed with undulating carved ash wood seats. 18″ W x 18.5″ D x 32 H. These are my Dad’s and they are from the 60’s. In very good original condition. Condition is commensurate with age. There is some crazing on the legs but not noticeable. Thank you so much for looking! Rare triangular corner table from the Brandon range by G plan (E Gomme). This table was only made between 1953 – 1955. In light oak finish. Designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins. Now in excellent condition having been stripped and re-finished in a hard wearing lacquer. 68cm Long x 37cm Wide x 40cm High. Viewing / Collection from Southport PR9 or courier available at cost. Please send your postcode for a quote. We use state-of-the-art water borne lacquers as used by manufacturers. They have been certified to FIRA Standard 6250 for surfaces in heavy/severe use and are superior to any oil or wax. The finishing process we have developed maintains the timber’s colour and warmth and enhances figure, grain definition and chatoyance. On Antiques we use traditional French polishing methods. Michael Andersen & Sons, Denmark triangular bowl designed by Marianne Starck Collector´s item! A beautiful rooster / cock is the decoration of this triangular bowl by Marianne Starck for the legendary Danish pottery Michael Andersen & Sons. It´s probably from the 1960s. The glaze is in Persia technique Persia technique, a special craquelee technique developed at the Michael Andersen & Sons pottery by Daniel Andersen in the 1930s. They won a gold medal for this at the World´s Fair in Brussel in 1935. This one has a lot of the beautiful red lustre! On verso ythe Michael Andersen hallmark – a shield with 3 fishes (heering) which also is the coat of arms for the town Rønne where the pottery was situated – MS for Marianne Starck, and the model number which looks like 5660. Condition Excellent good used condition No chips, cracks or repairs. The crazing is of course intended. She was a graphic artist and came from Northern Germany to the pottery on the island Bornholm in the 1950s. She stayed there until it closed in 1993 and made a lot of great designs there always renewing her artistic language. A very talented and versatile artist. Just also mention your destination.
