VERY RARE VINTAGE PYREX PROMOTIONAL BLOWING LEAVES 024 TWO QUART CASSEROLE DISH. A gorgeous turquoise and white 024 two quart handled Pyrex bowl in the rare Blowing Leaves pattern with lid. This hard to find piece will be the star of your Pyrex collection. Perfect for the winter/holiday season. This was a limited edition promotional item which is why its so hard to find. The pattern shows various leaves being blown around the casserole dish along with snowflakes. In good, shiny vintage condition with no dishwasher damage, chips, or cracks on the bowl or lid. There are some flea bites, utensil marks, and marks around the handles. Pyrex is a brand introduced by Corning Inc. In 1915 for a line of clear, low-thermal-expansion borosilicate glass used for laboratory glassware and kitchenware. It was later expanded to include clear and opal ware products made of soda-lime glass. Measures approximately 10 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. This is a wonderful rare 1960’s mid-century modern 1 1/2 quart covered Pyrex casserole dish. The bottom is marked 043 1 1/2 Quart Pyrex Made in USA 3. The lid is marked 043C 15 and Pyrex. There are no chips or cracks on the bowl or the lid and there is only very minor crazing as you can see in the photos. This is a nice brightly colored dish showing no signs of dishwasher fading, you will like it for sure!
