A pair of seldom seen, early Knoll Model 145 chairs, designed by Kurt Nordstrom in 1954 for Knoll International. Produced only until 1960, these elegant chairs were created in Teak veneer with black tubular steel frames/legs, and have solid brass fittings. Very good condition with minor marks/scratches commensurate with their age. One chair has a missing spot of base veneer on the underside of the seat (see photos), and another small area with veneer that is intact but should be re-glued. Both of these spots are not visible unless the chair is upside down. Minor surface oxidation at some of the weld points on underside of chairs. Feet/gliders are solid birch, and both chairs retain their original early 50’s fabric Knoll labels. Fully original as far as we can tell with no modifications or structural damage, and sturdy enough to be used by us as occasional chairs in a design office for the past decade. This gorgeous mid-century modern table is a rare early 1950’s piece by George Nelson for Herman Miller. This George Nelson dining table is all original and features a stunning rosewood tabletop with contrasting white iron x-legs and comes with 2 original leaves that store underneath the tabletop. The high gloss tabletop is in good vintage condition with only minor surface wear and without any damage to the edges. The powder coated x-legs have held up nicely and show minimal signs of wear. Please note there is a slight variation of color on the two leaves, but this does not detract from it’s overall beauty. Without leaves in: 72″L, 28.5″H, 40D. With both leaves in: 112L approx. 9.3 feet, 28.5″H, 40″D. Each leaf measures 20″L, 40″D. A pair of jamaica bar stools made by Amat Spain and designed by Pepe Cortes. Later produced by Knoll International. One of the chairs till bares traces of the old label of Amat. Early production and the wooden chairs are no longer in production. Hard to find them in beech wood. Very nice modern design. Highest point of the wooden seat is 82 cm.
