Rare cast metal table/desk base, which appears to be aluminum. This is the shortest of the 28 high table bases designed by Ward Bennett for Lehigh Leopold. This particular size was originally used with either a 36″ x 72″ rectangular rosewood top, or an oval walnut top. LAST 2 PICS ARE FOR REFERENCE. The base has a shiny mirror finish, and was recently polished by hand. It shows some minor dings on the legs, and light scratches -examples of which are shown in the pics. There is no intrusive damage, and presents beautifully as-is. All 4 leg glides are intact. Measurements: 27 3/4 high. Leg tip to leg tip: 42″ Long x 23″ deep. Ou could comfortably put a 60″-72″ long top on this base. For local pick-up in Pittsburgh 15218 zip code. I can refer you to a couple of blanket wrapped shippers.
