Fantastic 1955 Mid Century design by George Nelson. A Howard Miller wall clock model #6071. White painted aluminum case and yellow aluminum face. Dial is a sculptural design made of plastic with twelve points for the hours. The plastic has faded and is now a cream color but was originally white. There is no second hand. The minute hand has a slight bend at the end so it won’t hit the hour protrusions on the dial. There is a Howard Miller foil label on the clock motor. The clock case has two areas where the white paint has flaked exposing the aluminum underneath. I have included pictures of the Howard Miller Institutional Division catalogue that has the specifications and pictures of the model #6071 and also a photo of the 6071 in an advertisement from 1966. This is an authentic, original, period Howard Miller Clock. See our other Nelson Clocks and mid century items. Rare and dramatic, Lightolier twin desk lamp from the 1960’s. Very’Danish Modern’ in feel, two adjustable cones in the manner of jet engines, mounted on brass stems and a black metal base. Roughly 17 inches tall, and 14 inches wide depending on placement of shades. The metal cones have a satin brass finish, with black metal elevated rings much like the cowls of a jet engine. The brass stems are stationary, and the cones pivot and hold their position. A wonderfully scarce example of Space Age Design. Minor scuffs and shows age appropriate usage. Some black enamel loss on metal base. 1 RARITY AND BEAUTY. Will never be produced again and I appreciate their rarity. I never sell “Frankenstein” lamps odd pieces slapped together, slathered in new paint (oddly enough usually fire engine red) and passed off as having an exotic (usually Italian, or Gino Sarfatti) origin. For your consideration, an extremely rare Blenko 6134 ram’s head vase (also used as bookends) in jonquil by Wayne Husted, circa 1961. These vases were only produced in 1961 and, as a result, are EXCEEDINGLY rare. The vase is in good vintage condition with no cracks and minimal flea bite chipping to foot and base. The chip at the base is very shallow and hardly visible when looking at the vase straight on. Mild debris to the interior, one inclusion and trapped bubble, and one sliver of glass fused to the interior of the vase noted in photos. Vase will be double boxed. Measures 7 7/8 inches in height, approximately 9 inches in length, and 7 inches in width. A gorgeous & hard-to-find estate set of 3 Federal Glass nesting mixing bowls with the rare turquoise or aqua starburst/diamond pattern (aka “Twinkle”). Includes the 7″, 8″, and 9 bowls. All have the same marking on bottoms. Set looks minimally used, in my opinion, with little wear (mostly just to the bottoms). Perfect for use but, more so, makes a beautiful display set.
