Rare and dramatic, Lightolier twin desk lamp from the 1960’s. Very’Danish Modern’ in feel, two adjustable cones in the manner of jet engines, mounted on brass stems and a black metal base. Roughly 17 inches tall, and 14 inches wide depending on placement of shades. The metal cones have a satin brass finish, with black metal elevated rings much like the cowls of a jet engine. The brass stems are stationary, and the cones pivot and hold their position. A wonderfully scarce example of Space Age Design. Minor scuffs and shows age appropriate usage. Some black enamel loss on metal base. 1 RARITY AND BEAUTY. Will never be produced again and I appreciate their rarity. I never sell “Frankenstein” lamps odd pieces slapped together, slathered in new paint (oddly enough usually fire engine red) and passed off as having an exotic (usually Italian, or Gino Sarfatti) origin.
