RARE ATOMIC VINTAGE 1950’S FLYING SAUCER/UFO SPACESHIP, LARGE SILVER METAL/ POLYMER TOY, W/BOARDING RAMP, CLEAR ACRYLIC BUBBLE TOP. PAINTED SIDE LIGHTS & TRIPOD, SPLAYED. LANDING LEGS ON PADDED FEET. Mid-20th century Atomic spaceship models. 20 ½” Width x 9 ½” Height x. 4 Diameter clear polymer center bubble cockpit/bridge. The less-than-perfect welds and the hand painted, rotating, rectilinear, multi-colored side lights suggest that this model may have been fabricated by hand and was not machine made or factory produced. Just recently discovered and fresh-to-the-marketplace. It has a metal bottom deck with a tripod, splayed leg base, all perched as if on tippy-toes, on three padded feet. The upper console is made of silver painted polymer, with a round, clear polymer bridge or cockpit. The hinged loading or boarding ramp is made of metal and has black, non-skid stairs. It’s large, even monumental at almost 21 in width and has mass and weight. It’s not entirely made of metal, in that the removable upper console and shell can be taken off to allow for play and staging of figures on the deck. It previously took a fall before at some point and there’s a small hole in the clear bubble cockpit and some very minor paint loss along the extreme edge of the console that has painted, rotating colored lights. But fortunately the metal body nor the legs suffer from deformities, dents or dings. The toy was clearly used but incredibly, the paint only demonstrates a few episodes of loss. Overall, the silver enamel paint is still largely unscathed and doesn’t suffer any major abrasions or scuffs. It is without repairs and is being offered without apologies. Good to Very Good overall vintage condition. Just discovered and fresh-to-the-marketplace. Three piece mid century modern Broyhill Sculptra bedroom set. Very good antique condition. Minor scratches and blemishes, noted in pictures. Magna 8 drawer dresser with two doors opening to divided shelving. Dimensions 54 W × 17 D × 43 H. Dimensions 24.25″ W x 15.25″ D x 23 H. Tall Dresser very rare 6 drawer dresser that is actually two separate pieces. Base is also separate piece. Colorlith tile can be placed on either side. It appears that a mirror originally hung on the wall over the tile. I have found similar pieces through research, however I was unable to find exact piece, possibly a special order? 42.5 W x 17.25 D x 52.5 H. (31.25 W without stand). For sale a rare, early example of a Mid-Century Modernist classic, the “Pipistrello” Lamp designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 for Martinelli Luce of Italy. This large seminal Space Age lamp has a telescopic neck that allows for it to be used as either a table lamp or a floor lamp. “Pipistrello”, meaning Bat in Italian, derives it’s name from the iconically distinctive bat-wing shape of the shade. This example was sourced from it’s original owners and dates back to the early 1970s. The lamp is in very good vintage condition and has some marks and scratches, mainly to the lower brown trunk, commensurate with 45+ years of age and use but absolutely nothing to detract. The only issue of note is that the shade, which is seemingly in fabulous condition has got burn marks to the insides of the shade crevices, caused by having had it’s shade miss-mounted at some point in it’s history, and with one having burnt a hole through the shade. This is only noticeable if you look directly into the crevice (see photos) and faces the back of the lamp, however replacement shades can be ordered from Martinelli Luce, if need be.
