RARE Late 50’s Eames Herman Miller Charles Eames Vinyl DAX Orange Armshell (1). For your consideration is a rare Charles Eames for Herman Miller Vinyl and Fiberglass arm chair on zinc H base circa late 1950’s. The front, sides and back are all vinyl and the bottom is fiberglass. The vinyl feels like leather. This particular chair is the orange shell with orange vinyl upholstered interior. The feet are the original off-white plastic swivel style taps. This is in excellent original condition. I have not even cleaned them (and they could use it) just so there are no questions about their age or original condition. The only issue that I can find is the tiniest of slits in the vinyl on the upper left side of the chair’s crest. Otherwise, all of the vinyl is solid and the stitching and seams are without issue. Very hard and early design to find. All Herman Miller marks fully intact on bottom of chair. Dimensions: 25″ W x 15″ D x 28″ H with a 16.5″ seat height. All items come from a smoke free home.
