This is a rare early numbered leather upholstered chair similar to the 1948 MoMA award winning fiberglass armchair only this has the rare adjustable height and swivel option! Don’t miss out on owning this elephant gray fiberglass “Executive Upholstered Drafting Armchair” (official name) with black upholstered leather. This came with the rich black leather, and an adjustable height bar, which was absent in the lower optioned swivel chair, “Upholstered Drafting chair”. What a gift this chair would make to the right person. See pics for complete details. Excellent condition except for one small tear in leather about 1/2 an inch long. Makers mark and original stickers on underside of seat with all the right embossed numbers. All the hardware is also original. I have four of these 1968 original 1705’s for sale. The chairs all feature a La Fonda side shell top of a contract base. All four chairs are in original unrestored condition and are labeled and marked. The chairs are in very good condition. They show some signs of wear that are consistent with their age and history. There are scratches and scuffs on the fiberglass shells and the aluminum bases could all use some polishing. All of the casters roll nicely and the chairs swivel freely. One of the chairs has a couple of light scratches and one small burn mark on the seat. The seats on the other chairs are in terrific shape with no noticeable marks. 29″h x 18 3/4″ w x 20 d.
