The Base is a Round Red Enamel Metal Base with Brass Body and Lamp Hardware. It Has the Original Matching Fiberglass Lamp Shades. This listing is for an amazing pair of mid-century modern table lamps with original fiberglass atomic shades. The lamps are circa 1950s in fabulous beautiful, vintage condition. The lamps are approximately 28 1/2 inches tall with the shade on. The shade is approximately 18 inches across. On one lamp the marble that sits on top of the finial is missing. Condition with no cracks or breaks or chips. The fiberglass shades are also in excellent condition with no holes or cracks. Please see all photos for more description. This listing is for an amazing pair of mid-century modern table lamps with original fiberglass atomic shades. The lamps are circa 1950s and despite some minor issues they are in overall beautiful, vintage condition. The lamps are approximately 18.5 to 19 inches tall with the shade on. The shade is approximately 10 inches across the top. This is a 3-way lamp. The base lights up, the top lights up, and you can have them both on at the same time to set the perfect mood. The main body of each lamp is made of glass with a metal mount on the bottom. The bodies appear to be in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks or chips. The fiberglass shades are also in excellent condition with no holes or cracks. There are a some light stains in a few spots but they can be turned to the back… And I have not attempted to remove them by cleaning. The metal bases have some oxidation as photos show. I tried to show the worst of the worst on one of the lamps. Both lamps have some of the oxidation in places. Again, I have not attempted to clean the oxidation but I would assume it will not come off. The lamps look beautiful as they are, but it would be simple to remove the bases and spray paint them if you want them to look perfect. The only other issue is that while the cords work and are not brittle, they are original and if I kept the lamps I would replace them. I didnt do that because some purists like to do that themselves. In addition, I would use a gold-colored cord while the originals are white. So I will let lucky winner choose the color for themselves. One of the cords was cut and a new piece was spliced in. Again, it works fine but I would replace it. The base of the lamps are lit with a common nightlight 4 or 5 watt bulb. In the end, I really like the green bulb best and that is what I took photos with and that is what lucky winner will receive. I will leave those in. They are very simple to take out and replace as you see fit. I could go on and on about this pair of fine lamps. They are so incredibly beautiful! To find one of these lamps in this condition is a great find. But to find a pair is a rare opportunity indeed! This pair of Atomic MCM chalkware base lamps with fiberglass shades are really unique and RARE. They are signed on the base ORIGINAL ART with I think a date and a C with a circle around it. They measure 27 and one has a damaged metal finial and a plastic thread missing in one area (see pic). These are such neat lamps and sure to be the focus of conversations. The chains on the fitters need replaced and they are from a smoke free home. These lovely lamps come to you from a prominent estate in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. One is missing the finial but they both work great. The turn on switch is at the top and they have for brass feet at the bottom. They measure 29 inches to top of finial and the base is 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The shades measure 18 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall. Wonderful lamps for your special collection. RARE COMPLETELY INTACT ORIGINAL. MID CENTURY MODERN KITSCH. 3 SETTING TABLE OR FLOOR LAMP. GOLD / WHITE / TURQUOISE. LUCITE “SPAGHETTI” GLOBE SHADES. RUST COLORED WOODEN LEAVES. MOTHER OF PEARL IN MOLDED ACRYLIC BASE. Globe shades are interchangeable. So, colors can be rearranged. Outside colors: one gold, one white, one aqua/turquoise. Inside of each shade is white. The shades each measure 7 1/2″ by 7″. “Leaves” made of bent walnut? Measures 42 tall, which would make a lovely conversation piece as a corner floor lamp or as a centerpiece on a large table or credenza. Condition is very nice with just minor tarnished areas in the brass. Base is made of mother of pearl shell pieces in molded acrylic and measures 10 3/4″ in diameter by 1 1/2″ tall. The lamp has 3 light settings. One single top light, two lower lights or all three lights can be turned on or off by pushing the switch on the base of the lamp. It’s rare to find this lamp in excellent condition and with all the original parts, including the planter, peat moss and 3 plastic vines. Please see pictures for details.
