RARE PIPSAN SAARINEN DAUGHTER OF EERO SAARINEN, VERY HEAVY FORGED WROUGHT IRON HAIRPIN LEGS AND CORNER PIECES. MADE FOR THE FICKS REED CO ONLY IN 1949 AND 1950. HERE’S A PARTIAL LISTING FROM 1ST DIBS ON THE TABLE, EXCELLENT PICTURES TO COMPARE. THIS TABLE FEATURED ON 1ST DIBS IS THE SMALLER END TABLE, MY TABLE IS A LARGE DINING TABLE AND COOL LOW BENCH OR COFFEE TABLE. HERE’S A 1950’S ADVERTISEMENT FROM FICKS REED THAT SHOWS THE SOL-AIR TABLES AND BENCH LINE. These are among several pieces called “SOL – AIR”. Very few examples survive. The “Sol – Air” line is pictured in major design references including George Nelson’s “Chairs” (1952). THE LEGS ARE WELDED TOGETHER INTO 2 SETS FOR EACH PIECE. I CAN SPLIT THE SET TOO. THE TABLE IS BIG ENOUGH TO USE AS A DINING TABLE. THE BENCH MEASURES 4 FEET LONG AND 18″ WIDE AND 18.5″ TALL. THE WOOD IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, AS YOU CAN SEE IT HAS BEEN PAINTED WHITE THROUGH THE YEARS. THE VARNISH THOUGH LOOKS TO STILL BE ON THE PLAIN WOOD STILL. I LOVED THE LOOK LIKE THIS AND LEFT THEM LIKE THEY ARE. VERY RARE TO HAVE THE SET. THESE ARE GOING FOR GOOD PRICES ON THE VARIOUS MID CENTURY MOD WEBSITES. Rare model 102-S daybed sofa by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates, c 1950’s. Early design features a gondola style seat with removable contoured back cushion, angled iron back support, and black wooden splayed dowel legs. Overall minimal wear to fabric from use, no stains or tears, foam still has life. Minor wear to the finish on back support as depicted in photos. One Black and One White. These don’t come around very often and to find a pair from the same estate is quite often unheard of. These Chairs are for the person who with a passion for being a purist and preferring an Original to a new manufactured reproduction. These Chairs are all Original as Found. Chairs were loved and it shows, unfortunately. Wondering if best to refurbish or keep as is, has been a debate for quite some time. I have decided to let these go to a new owner who will appreciate them as much as I do. Being highly critical, Chairs are Sturdy and Strong and completely usable as is. As Found All Original Structurally Sound and Intact. All of the fingers appear to be Structurally sound, , No repairs or breaks, only visual stress is to the finish or the coating. Cosmetic Flaws as shown in photographs. Chips, Crazing and Soiling to the finish. I gently cleaned with some soapy water to remove the bulk of the soiling. Due to fact that I did not want to tamper with the integrity of these chairs, I will leave the option of deeper cleaning and or refurbishing to the new owner. Listed for sale is a very special piece for Eames collectors and admirers of their work. This is an all original D20 desk, part of the ESU or Eames Shelving Unit group. He was an admired photographer who worked for Former President Eisenhower at one point in time. The desk was always cared for and loved. It was always in a climate controlled space and looks as if it had been preserved delicately since new, but shows no alterations and has not been restored in any way. This may be one of the nicest and cleaning examples of an ESU series desk that exists. It is truly spectacular and essentially mint. Further provenance is easily accessible and can be included with the desk if desired. Also, all boot glides have been retained and are original. Measurements are 29.5 x 60 x 28 inches. Near perfect condition with minimal scratching and light signs of use. Metal Base and Drawers. The metal is all completely original and shows light oxidation, as one would hope for with an original piece like this. The drawers are all in lovely condition. Paint on the sliding elements has chipped, but is only visible when looking inside at the sliders. And I will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible. IT IS METAL THAT HAS TURNED BROWN WITH RUST AND SOME OF IT IS STILL SHINY METAL. THIS PIECE WEIGHS A TON. IT MEASURES 52″ LONG AND 25″ WIDE. IT IS ABOUT 10 DEEP. THE CIRCLES ARE FASHIONED ON TOP OF EACH OTHER SOME WITH HALF CIRCLE PLATES SOME FULL SEE THROUGH CIRCLES. I’VE HAD THIS FOR MANY YEARS. LOOK HOW BIG IT IS COMPARED TO THE PIECE OF FURNITURE. THE SIGNATURE IS UNDER THE RUST SOMEWHERE. IN THIS CASE, THE RUST ADDS SO MUCH DEPTH TO THIS PIECE. Listed for sale is a very special piece. It is an early Prototype for an Eames CTW / CTM – like coffee table, which uses the manufactured CTW / CTM top, along with a welded base similar to the Eiffel tower chairs. The definitive notes are as follows. This table comes from the household of a former Herman Miller employee. The table top was made using the same mold as a CTW or CTM and shares identical dimensions (do note the comparison photo). The table top uses correct veneers and wear is period correct. Exact year of production is not known. This exact table was featured in an article on Herman Miller’s website called The Other Herman Miller. Extremely rare floor lamp by Arredoluce, Italy with three articulating arms with counterweights in metallic red, blue and green attached to a main central stem and a marble base. Each arm can be adjusted by a brass ball joint connected to the main central stem. The lamp offers a wide array of lighting options. This vintage piece is in lovely completely original condition, unrestored with some scratches on shades and counterweights, with lovely patina, original enamel. The lamp is in perfect working order. Material: brass, marble and lacquered aluminum. Diameter base: 11.4 in. (29 cm), height: 64 inches (163 cm).
