Great looking privacy screen made by Artek, Finland. The design is by Alvar Aalto. It is made of pine with a clear coat finish. It measures 78.5″ in length and 59.125″ high. The individual pieces are approximately 3/4″ wide x 1″ long. The screen is in excellent vintage condition. There is one “repair” to an end strip that is a gouge to the wood that was amateurishly fixed wit wood putty. There are a few minor scrapes and a few specks of paint. Extremely rare Poul Cadovius Mid Century Modern tension pole Cado Wall System / room divider. This gorgeous two bay system works with 8′ ceilings and consists of three solid teak poles which are double sided so that it can be used as a room divider by interchanging the shelving between the front and back of the unit or as a wall unit by placing all the shelves along one side. This set will work with other Poul Cadovius Royal System components that use the peg system so that you can add on to the set. The set includes: (1) three (3) solid teak double sides poles with metal tension supports on either end (2) five (5) teak shelves with triangular supports; each shelf branded “Made in Denmark” (3) two (2) magazine / book shelves This two bay system is completely modular and the shelves can be positioned anywhere on the rails. The teak color & grain are outstanding and the cabinets and rails are in very good vintage condition. These Wall Systems are very functional & sought after as they are rare and very collectible. Note: the last few photos are not of this unit but do show how it can be used as a room divider by splitting up the shelving between front and back. Measurements: H 97″ x W 65″; depth depends on if you use as a room divider and put items on both sides of the poles.
