A Mid-Century Modern desk, which is either made by Eames for Herman Miller or not. Could it be a one-off? Made by employees of Herman Miller? There were 4 signed Eames Esu wall units that each of the children took. We were told by the family that it was an “Eames Esu Herman Miller Desk”. As you can see, it is the exact image of the 3-drawer Eames Esu D-10 desk. The only difference is the top does not overhang as much nor does it have the holes in the frame. Any help from the web would be gratefully accepted and posted! We know this to be an authenitc vintage desk. Minor wear to surface. Paint on legs could use some help. Overall very good working condition. Measures 54 1/2″ wide, 20 1/4″ deep, and 30 tall. We sell everything bought from estates directly to you. We do not restore anything. Vintage Mid Century Heywood Wakefield Table & Chairs 5Pc Set Multi-Color RARE. A prototypical Mid-Century matching table and chair set from Heywood-Wakefield, Gardner, Massachusetts, USA. Includes four metal and walnut-wood “C-shaped” chairs finished in their original multi-color leather or leatherette upholstery, and a circular laminated-walnut table top. Similarly-fashioned metal legs and stretchers are painted white and tipped with additional wood accent. Manufacturers tag remains on bottom of one chair. Table measures 47 3/8″ in Diameter and stands 28 5/8″ High. Chairs measure 27″ High x 21″ Wide x 16 Deep. The set doe not look like the traditional style for Heywood-Wakefield. Perhaps this was prototype? Made by a famous Mid Century designer for sure. This came from an estate where the father was a furniture sale rep. He had access to specialty and unusual, one of a kind furniture. Any information would be appreciated! Minor scratches on the tabletop; no more than one noticeable nick. Paint-wear and some staining show on the table and chair’s white metal base/legs. The salmon-colored chair has a thin chunk of wood missing on the back of the rest (picture 3). Sun-fading to the chair’s wooden back-rests. Upholstery is without rips or distinguishable sections of wear. The set can be picked up at our store in Collingswood, NJ. Feedback terms coming soon. Listed for sale is a very special piece. It is an early Prototype for an Eames CTW / CTM – like coffee table, which uses the manufactured CTW / CTM top, along with a welded base similar to the Eiffel tower chairs. The definitive notes are as follows. This table comes from the household of a former Herman Miller employee. The table top was made using the same mold as a CTW or CTM and shares identical dimensions (do note the comparison photo). The table top uses correct veneers and wear is period correct. Exact year of production is not known. This exact table was featured in an article on Herman Miller’s website called The Other Herman Miller.
