Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a large panel of vintage textile material great for your crafting needs. There’s a little over 4 yards of material here. We’re not sure, but it feels like the material is a medium to heavy weight cotton. It does not feel synthetic to us – it doesn’t stretch, etc. It reminds us of barkcloth. The selvedge reads “Trans-Pacific Textiles” (see photos). Colors: Greens, Black, Off-White. 153″ long (4.25 yards) x 44″ wide. Condition: The material is in excellent condition. There is a small 1″ x 5″ piece of material that was cut off along one of the end edges – we photographed it. Colors and graphics are nice and bold. The material is free from rips, holes, tears, stains, runs, pulls, odors, etc. It has been very well cared for and is ready for new home! Size / dimensions: 4′ x 6. BLOCK SHOP TEXTILES RARE ONE OF A KIND SAMPLE RUG, never used. This rug / dhurrie has never been walked on and was only used for photos by Block Shop Textiles. It measures 50″ x 74″ precisely and is considered a 4′ x 6′ rug. This one is one of a kind and was never available on the website. There was only one made of this rug. The rug is in MINT condition but does have some minor natural imperfections which I took close photos of, nothing major. This is a cotton rug. It can also be used as a wall hanging. I included a picture of a similar rug hanging on a wall behind the founders of Block Shop. FROM THE BLOCK SHOP TEXTILES WEBSITE. Our heirloom dhurries are woven by a family of master weavers outside Jaipur, India. We start with watercolor sketches, which our team interprets onto traditional two-person looms with hand-dyed cotton. Woven over the course of several months, our dhurries are as durable as they beautiful. Dhurries are lightweight yet virtually indestructible. Designed for heavy use in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, they wear beautifully with age inside the most trafficked rooms of a busy household. We suggest using a rug pad underneath for extra cushion and longer wear. Vacuum regularly, spot clean as needed.
