Fantastic midcentury serigraph by Finnish designer and artist Lasse Talosela, best known for his classic Finnish midcentury jewelry design. This is a very rare example of his artwork, employing the same totemic figures and primitive shapes – evocative of Northern indigenous art – that appear in his jewelry. Print is signed and dated 1965 in lower right corner. Artwork measures 11.75″ by 9, ” matted and glassed in black metal frame, total dimensions 17″ by 13.75″. This rare and Mid Century Modern Finnish fabric art piece features a hand printed semi-absrract design with seagulls at sunset in a classic MCM color palette of orange, beige, and brown. The rectangular panel is made from thin fine linen and is mounted (staples) on stretcher bars for easy wall hanging. The piece dates back to the 1960s possibly earlier. Don’t miss the chance to own this fabulous period piece of Finnish fabric art history. Note colors are slightly more saturated in the photos (Samsung). The orange isn’t as red looking but a very nice orange in person. 48″w x 30″h.
