Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare set of sculptural abstract wood comedy and tragedy / theater wall hanging plaques. Circa’50s /’60s. While unsigned, they do remind us a little of Heifetz. Each has a hanging tab recessed into the back surface. They’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern setting! The comedy mask measures approx. 16″ tall x 7.5″ wide x 1.25 deep. The tragedy mask measures approx. 16″ tall x 8″ wide x 1.25 deep. Condition: Both plaques are in very good condition. There are some minor surface blemishes / imperfections in the wood, but nothing that we’d consider bad at all – please see all of the accompanying photos. We have not attempted to clean or polish either of the plaques as we felt they display great just as they are. They’re ready to be enjoyed in a new home!
