Designed by the legendary Finnish master architect Alvar Aalto, its undulating, organic asymmetrical form is universally celebrated as a milestone in 20th-century glass art. This is a highly collectable, early production example dating from the 1960s to 1970s. The underside base features the genuine, beautifully crisp hand-engraved diamond-point signature: “Alvar Aalto – 3030″. This is the highly desirable and rarer 20 cm large version, which commands a major premium over smaller modern iterations. Mouth-blown/mold-blown by master artisans in Finland, the heavy cased opaline white glass creates a spectacular play of light across its organic waves. 20 cm (200 mm) as verified by the measurement photos. Max Width: Approx. 21 cm across the widest curve. Authenticity: Fully hand-signed to the base. No machine acid etching or stickers, confirming its early vintage status. Condition: Excellent vintage pre-owned condition. The glass body is exceptionally bright, glossy, and pristine with no disfiguring chips, cracks, structural flea bites, internal water scaling, or repairs. The base rim shows only the honest, light micro-surface shelf wear expected from decades of loving display. Please review the high-resolution close-up photos to verify the signature and condition. The vase will be wrapped in heavy-duty commercial bubble wrap and fully suspended in loose packing foam peanuts to prevent any movement. Check out my other listings??
