ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare pair of abstract figural table lamps. Circa’50s /’60s. The figures are a ceramic pottery material, and they are a brownish color with green highlights. They each rest atop a biomorphic wooden base that is painted black (see photos). While we aren’t 100% certain on the artist, the figures remind us of Jitka Forejtova, and the wooden bases remind us of Heifetz. Each lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. No shades present – it’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own. They’re stellar lamps that’ll look great in any interior setting! The female lamp on the left in the photos is approx. 24.75 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the final). 17.75 to the socket from the bottom of the base. The figure itself is approx. 12″ tall x 7.5″ wide, and her wooden base is approx. 9.5″ wide x 5.75″ deep. The male lamp on the right in the photos is approx. 24.75 tall, and the distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 12.75″ tall x 8″ wide. His base measures approx. 8.75″ wide x 5.5″ deep. CONDITION : Given their age and rarity, we say they’re in overall very good condition. The female lamp has a few imperfections which we’ll mention now. First off, it appears she had a careful repair done to her outstretched hand by a previous owner (see photos). It isn’t readily noticeable unless you are looking for it, but it is there, and is being mentioned for accuracy. The top side of the wooden base that she rests on has some minor paint loss (see photos). The other figure doesn’t appear to have any issues, nor does its wooden base – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks original with no issues to report – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe. This vintage Siamese cat table TV lamp features a unique Mid-Century Modern design, making it a rare and collectible piece. Made of ceramic with a glazed finish, this small lamp showcases a round UFO shape shade and a multicolor Siamese cat pattern. It is a corded electric lamp that adds a touch of retro charm to any space, perfect for cat lovers or collectors of mid-century modern decor. Ceramic has some glazing due to age. The lamp doesn’t come with a light bulb. I always had a colored bulb as shown in pictures. The top of the lamp can easily be attached to light bulb top with both wires under the shade itself. Lamp is recommended to get a new socket where the bulb screws into since this one is old. This leads to the top shade being loose. Item measures 12 1/4 tall with a light bulb in it. Base measures 10″ tall, and is 6″ wide at the widest point. This is a metal sleeve and a cardboard sleeve that went where the socket goes. ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage chalkware table lamp manufactured by the Fortune Lamp Co. On the front side of the lamp is the image of a harlequin, while on the remaining three sides it is a textured surface in blue. The lamp is signed and dated on the back side where the electrical cord emerges from the base (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket for functionality. There is no shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide one on their own. The lamp stands approx. 26 tall measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket. The chalkware portion of the base measures approx. 21″ tall x 8″ wide x 8 deep. CONDITION : Overall the lamp is in very good condition. There are some areas on the base where the paint has flecked off over time. These areas, as seen in the photos, are not actual chips to the chalkware – just missing paint which can easily be touched up. When one runs a finger over these areas, they are relatively smooth. The base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, missing pieces, etc. It could benefit from a gentle cleaning, but we chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in great shape – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly urge to have the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Underside stamped Italy w/ handwritten number 1512 and remnants of old paper label (see close-up photos). Three fish panels look clear w/ normal crackle/crazing. Some corner rub wear and tiny edge “flea bites” in glaze (to be expected with age) but no major damage and it displays very well. 14.25″ tall, 5.5″ x 3.75 wide, and weighs 7 lb.
