RARE Zenith HIFI Mid Century Modern Record Player Radio Flip Top Console on Base. Ships free, safe and fast. This model is extremely scarce and cool! Very good condition cabinet, base and all functions are normal. Original Speaker cloth is in excellent and original condition but has come loose in a couple places, can be re-tucked by investing some calories. The radio works normally except for some light static when adjusting the controls which is easily remedied with DeOxit. The turntable functions normally but it came to us with no needle / cartridge so it need a replacement. On the rear dust cover there is an area that got bumped and lost a 3 chunk of plastic, it cannot be seen without going behind the unit. The most important flaw to this piece is the dried out and brittle power cord. We successfully tested the piece with it but it need to replaced, a relatively inexpensive and non complicated repair. 56″ wide x 26 1/4″ x 11 1/2 deep. Record Player Center when open: 24 1/4″ tall x 27 1/4″ wide x 16 1/4 deep. Marked: Zenith Radio Corp. Rare 1949 1st Gen RAR Eames Herman Miller Zenith Rope Edge Rocking Shell Chair. First year chair with ultra-rare base which was discontinued early in the first year production. The low front bars which crossed to the back caused a hazard and people were getting their heels caught in the them. This chair has the original structural and aesthetic design envisioned by the Eames’ and few exist today. One birch runner has had both the front and back tips re-glued at some time in the past {please see image #11 & #12} but are stable. Oversized puck mounts are good and stable. Steel base has one mounting flange weld separated from base frame {please see image #17}, otherwise good. Shell is good with no chips or cracks and minor wear/discoloration consistent with age/use. Wanted to sell in original found condition. Please pay within 3 days of closed listing. Local pickups required to present valid ID & Bill of Sale signature. All sales are final. Up for sale is a vintage HM Eames PSC. PSC-pivoting sideshell cast aluminum base. The base shows some signs of wear with paint chipping. Still pivots and from doing research is dated somewhere in the late 50s. Not sure the date of the chair, but does not have the raised HM logo. The chair is orange in color and is marked Zenith Prime. The chair also shows signs of wear with a small crack and wear around edging. The price includes base and shell.
