West Germany Mid-Century Modern Brutalist Ceramic Vases. Prime and hard-to-find mid-century vases not often seen in the States. Excellent examples of brutalist/rustic style ceramic work straight out of an extensive hand-selected collection. The tall rectangular vase measures approx. The low round piece is approx. MURANO Tall Art Glass Vases 2, Cristalleria Fratelli Betti Empoli Very Rare 19.5. Two very rare Tall 19 & 1/2 inches high, 5 & 1/2 inch base, very heavy made by the Crisallini Fratelli Betti Glass works, mid to late 50’s, early 60’s. Founded in the Italian Region of Empoli in 1954 by three brothers Daniel, Loris, and Jose Betti. They took over an existing older glass works called Veteria Rioda. The brothers continued to craft fine glass works for well to do families throughout Europe, Italy, Sicily, Greece. Age, illness and financial hardships after the WW2 rebuilding took it toll and eventually they closed up. Pieces rarely show up. We, nor anyone we know have ever seen this type, color, craftsmanship, size. Never mind two matching flawless, the Amber is perfect as well and very beautiful. If anyone knows more about this family. We have for you a rare pair of Rorstrand matching vases executed by famous Swedish artist Carl Harry Stalhane. This pair stand right at 12 tall and have a great mottled decoration within a matte glaze. One of these vases does have some slight rim damage at top and a very tight hairline caused by the chip in the pictures. The hairline was very difficult to photograph, but it is just to the right of the chip pictured. The other vase has no damage and incredibly both vases still retain the original factory stickers from Rorstrand. On a shelf these vases look awesome and still display very well even though the one vase has the damage I mentioned earlier. Please contact me with any other concerns.
