Rare Contemporary Large 16 Handcrafted Sea Urchin Table Lamp. Mid Century Modern Style – Circa 1970s. Beautiful modernist mid century sculptural sea urchin table lamp handcrafted with leather spines over a metal frame with a one bulb socket inside. A really cool and hard to find mid-century sea urchin table lamp, circa 1970s. The lamp is crafted with hundreds of leather strips over a metal frame supporting a one bulb socket. The lamp is in very good vintage condition and measures 16″D x 16″H. The lamp is the light tan color in the main photo; the last two photos show the light turned on and the color of the lamp appears darker. Showing almost no wear or aging. This table lamp with sea urchin diffusers, is attributed to artists Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels or, “Curtis Jere”. Copper branches and long narrow leaves sprout out from a polished Burl root base. Copper delicately cups each urchin and bends easily to adjust your floral arrangement. Urchins range from burnt orange to deep purple. Each sea urchin is packed in its own protective box, so you know they’ll arrive safely to your home. 24″ wide x 19″ deep x 28 high. 5 Urchins Vary in Size: approx. 4-1/2″ diameter x 3-1/4″ tall to 5″ diameter x 4″ tall.
