Located in Los Angeles for ease of pick-up. De Sede,’Cosmos’, beige leather, complete 7 elements, Switzerland, 1970s, early rare production. Thick, high-quality modular sofa made by De Sede in Switzerland in the 1970s. Due to the separate elements, the couch can be used in a variety of different positions. The high quality leather on the sofa is phenomenal and will continue to age in a beautiful way. De Sede once started as a saddler’s workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their Scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed and are completely made and focussed on the people who use them. Therefore, all the De Sede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort. Comfortable so called’Cosmos’ elemented sofa designed and manufactured by De Sede, Switzerland, 1970. This sofa has a wooden structure stuffed with foam and covered with buffalo leather. The sofa is in patinated brown leather and is in excellent original condition with a nice patina from age and usage. There are a total of 7 elements that can be connected to each other. You can choose the arrangement. Measurements corner element: D 35″ x W 43″ x H 28 SH 16 Inch. Measurements straight element: W 26″x D 33.5″ x H 28 Inch. Size DM 40 x H 20.5 Inch. Up for sale is a sectional sofa designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard. Each have an armrest that can be moved to a few angles, presumably for sleeping – turning the armrests to headrests. Please read some detailed notes on the condition. It is in very good condition but not mint. The finish looks good throughout. All hardware is intact and functional. The hinged sides are mechanically sound. The condition of the burnt orange vinyl is great – even in color, and not stretching, ripping, or brittle anywhere. It has the usual scuffs, dings, areas of faded finishes, and very minimal upholstery defects you would expect for a piece of its age. The vinyl has some very small nicks in it. Hard to notice unless looking for them. One section of the caning is damaged. Finally, the seat-back support could use some reinforcement. I say could because it would be at the buyers discretion. It is stable and functionally useable as is, but maybe could use some added stability if the sectional will be freestanding (away from the support of a wall) or under heavy use. Lastly, It seems to me that whomever did the original assembly put some of the pieces in reverse. I cant be sure of this but the seatback supports have stain and finish on the side that the cushion faces, but are untreated on the side that faces outward. I dont think this is much of an issue but should be factored in when deciding the placement of the couch in your home. If the back is visible you may want to have these pieces finished, or you may want to flip the pieces so that the original stain faces outward as intended (this would require drilling some new holes, since the screws are not placed symmetrically). ORIGINAL and VERY RARE, HARD TO FIND! 1940-50s Mid Century Modular Sectional Couch/Sofa by STRATFORD local p/u. A Mid-Century Modern three piece sectional sofa made by’STRATFORD’. Very Hard to find such an awesome sectional sofa. Fabric is or appears to be a very unique black and gold string Boucle and is coarse. The pattern has slight wear from gentle average holiday use. Couldn’t find that exact fabric anywhere. The “cambric” material has tears under the end sofas (easily repairable or covered over). Solidly built, with no frame damage. The seat cushions were very recently replaced with new foam. The back has a stiffer feel than the new seat foam. Its clean lines, geometric shape, low slung seating, tapered legs and very distinct look will greatly enhance or be the focal point of a room. Can be Retro/Art Deco in style. Has sat in the same smoke free home for 71 years! It has been vacuumed, maybe it could use to be steam cleaned gently. Please ask questions or will gladly message more pictures since I could only put 12 on the page. Note: The Kroehler Slipper Accent Chair has also sat in the same room and home. It is listed separately, but, hope it makes its way to the same home with the Sectional Sofa. The curved center section: 67.5″ wide, 37″ deep, and 28.5″ high, seat 21.5″. This Adrian Pearsall Craft Associates Sofa Sectional is authentic and in original, great vintage condition. It has several original Craft Associates tags. The fabric is in wonderful, vintage condition. The seat cushions are filled with a dense foam rubber and are firm. This does not need to be recovered and there are no rips or tears in the upholstery. I would consider getting new strapping so that there is more support when sitting on it. I would also consider getting new foam for the two arms as it has flattened there over time. In photo #9 you can see that one leg needs some repair, but this is minor and when the sectional is all put together it doesn’t affect its stability or evenness in height. But overall, this sectional is in great condition. This sectional is in four parts, each about the same size. These sectionals with four parts are much rarer than the ones with only three parts. This is a very large piece. The dimensions are as follows. Complete Sectional Individual Section. Width (Depth): 116-1/2″ 37″. Seat Height: 16″ 16″. NOTE: The 150 Length means that it is 12.5 feet from the extreme edge of one end to the other (measured from the front). The depth is measured from the very back of the half-circle to the front edges. This sofa is being stored in Denver, PA.
