Vintage KILLER Rare 1960s MCM Witco Tiki Bar Graceland Polynesian African. Rare and hard to find! William Westenhaver started the Witco or Western International Trading Company back in 1957. Their work become popular as the Tiki Movement spread throughout the 60s and 70s. They offered lounge chairs, art, bars, wall hanging, furniture and many more pieces. The wholy grail is the tiki wall world map. Eventually the company ran into financial issues and was unfortunately shut down in 1977. Today, many pieces are getting harder to find and commanding impressive prices. The late King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley was once rumored to have furnished his entire Jungle Room at his Graceland Mansion with Witco, after seeing it in the window of a downtown Memphis shop. His father, Vernon, was rumored to be less than thrilled with his son’s choice of furniture! Includes: bar, two matching stools. Bar rolls on wheels for ease of moment, top does not remove. Unknown type of wood and no markings. Lots of shelving for storage of drinks etc. Condition: stable, solid and useable as is. It is 60 plus years old. Expect normal signs of wear and tear from age and use. Wear to Original fabric on bar as well as seats. Mask had two minor indentations, some scratches, scuff marks throughout, half inch chip under top of bar on corner, cat? Scratches on left back of bar corner. Bar is stable and ready to use.
