Vintage MCM Laurel Mushroom Table Lamp RARE Base. Authenticated by the Laurel Lamp Foundation. They stated “This is a gorgeous and uncommon Laurel piece, produced in the mid 1970’s”. The LLF also let me know that This mushroom base is very uncommon. I can confirm, as I have searched for the last 6 months and have yet to find another! The lamp is in excellent, pre-owned condition. The base is brass / brass colored metal. It shows minor wear and tear from light scratches. It has the Laurel Lamp Mfg Co Inc sticker inside. The globe is hand blown glass, in excellent condition, made in Sweden. It has two stickers on it. One says “Made in Sweden”. The other sticker is faded, worn off, illegible. The original power cord is a matching brass / gold color and nearly 8′ long. It’s in excellent condtion, as well. Awesome mid century modern Peill and Putzler “Mushroom” table lamp in a teal blue color. Has an elegant satin textured finish on both the base and shade. Measures about 11″ tall, shade measures 9 3/4″ across the bottom, and the base measures 6 across the base. The lamp has the original cord which is in great shape and functional. It is in very good to excellent condition, on the base is a small area, chip? .. Not really, more like a small slice off the edge, barely noticeable, but being extremely particular it is there, please see photos 5 & 6, and a small area where the finish appears a bit dusty or white, see photo #7, not rough, feels exactly the same as the rest of the finish, overall really great condition.
