Talk about quality Mid Century Mod! How many do you see like this! With no less than 3 original labels identifing it as a W. Gunlocke Side Chair Maple Finish made in 1953. The inset embossed metal label is my favorite. The only flaw is upper back had a repair It’s now rock solid (see photo). Chair is 31-1/4″ tall seat is 17-1/2″ wide by 17deep. Mid-Century Modern Full Size Headboard. Paul McCobb Planner Group. Materials: Wrought Iron and Maple wood. H: 55.12 in. W: 35.44 in. D: 9.85 in. Not supplying standard bed rails that will affix. Condition is used but nothing at all compromised. There are two minor imperfections: 1. The wrought iron could use a touch up by easily unscrewing and hitting w semi-gloss black enamel. One picture shows where a paint brush touch the side during house trim painting. This is not a scuff, it is light paint. The wood itself has aged into a beautiful well maintained patina and has a warm sophistication to it. As with mid century designs this is low sitting and ergonomic use of design by this master architect. The mattress will come up to the bottom of the finished maple wood below the top of the unit. That is why you see unfinished wood below closer to the bottom. It serves only as support. This planner group piece is part of the Winchendon collection. It is much more desired than his typical walnut pieces. So use that benchmark when researching. I have shippeda dresser from my state of Oklahoma to Mass. This item is not as big and bulky as that one was but i really dont entirely know what to expect to be honest. Also, using that economical (but very hands on and delicate) service entails waiting until their route of personal deliveries coordinates with their schedule. Whicb means it could take a month, no way to tell at this point. It isnt guess work. My gut feeling thinks it will be much lower. Rare early Blond Maple Drawer Florence Knoll sofa with older channeled iron frame. This is the only blond version I have seen. They are always in walnut and sometimes teak. The Maple option was only offered in the very beginning of the release of this design, and only for a very short time. The blond wood really sets off the black frame. Cushions are soft but needs redoing in your own fabric. The box is original, and I left it that way, but would look better if completely refinished. The total length is 120 inches. Deep 22 inch seat. Back height 30 inches. The piece looks fabulous in the middle of the room, front or back. The black frame has been resprayed in a beautiful semi-gloss. In the pictures, the frame was not yet sprayed. It’s beautiful now! The prices on 1stdibs for the common Walnut drawer version is between 7,000 and 9,400. This price is giveaway, especially the fact that this is a super rare Maple drawer box. I will deliver for free in the entire Los Angeles metropolitan area, and even San Diego. I was going to keep this one but my place is just too small for the piece. You will NEVER see a Maple version of this model again. It’s by far the most attractive of the line because of the very rare drawer and the black frame combo! You can’t go wrong.
