WE ARE A RETIRED COUPLE THAT HAVE BEEN RESTORING THESE WONDERFUL MID CENTURY MODERN FIREPLACE ICONS FOR OVER 15 YEARS. WE HAVE PROVIDED OVER 300 READY TO USE AND LOVE FIREPLACES. This is an outstanding Orange Ball style freestanding wood burning vintage cone fireplace. We are very lucky to have found this very rare and desirable model, we have only had a few of these in the past. The upper half of the ball shaped body is coated in high gloss, fired on, orange porcelain enamel. The finish on the fireplace is excellent condition. The enamel has cracked a little around the bolts that connect the two halves and some touch-our paint has been applied. Please see details on our photos. The rest of the fireplace was originally painted flat black and was in good condition for its age. We have refinished all of the black parts and repainted with a semi-gloss 2000 degree Rustoleum paint. We like the added gloss as it compliments the high gloss orange porcelain enamel finish. The screen is a curtain style that is more user friendly than the large removeable one-piece screens on most freestanding fireplaces. This will also work we for gas logs and electric logs. Many people are finding the new gel fuel logs sets to be very attractive and don’t require connection to a chimney so, you can save on installation cost but still have a “real fire” look and feel. The vintage electric log set pictured features light, motion and sound. The fireplace is a 32 in diameter and 38high to where pipe is attached, and about 84 overall in height. It is vented with 9 diameter welded seam steel stovepipe. Additional matching straight stovepipe may be available if needed. Please inquire if you’d like to see others.
