Brass and Wood Vanity Bench with beautiful Mid-Century Modern Hollywood Regency-style curved brass base and wooden side handles. Fabric is a pink velvet, lined with an pink colored fringe and is in spectacular condition. The brass has noticeable markings scattered throughout, looks like possible water/liquid splash. We did not attempt to clean as we appreciate these marks as part of the character of the age of this piece. Very sturdy and solid and just a beautiful rare find in the pink color. This is an important and RARE Vintage Mid Century Modern EERO AARNIO Ball Chair, approximately dating to the 1970’s. This chair is unmarked and has clear signs of age throughout. It is NOT new or a Chinese reproduction. Approximately 47.25 inches tall x 43.31 inches wide x 38.19 inches in depth. Acquired from a small private sale at a deceased estate in Hollywood, California. Good condition for age, with light staining to the fabric, some moderate sun-fading to the cushions and interior, and some sagging to the interior lining in the upper left corner please see photos. There is mild scuffing, scratches and paint loss to the shell and base of the chair. If you look at the bottom of the base, you can see that the fiberglass has yellowed from being decades old. I have only seen this on authentic 1970’s era Eero Aarnio Ball chairs. This is a real vintage piece at half the price of a brand-new reproduction on 1stdibs. Brass shows some tarnishing in places. It is possiby a Stiffel Lamp. Height 34 1/4 from base to top of finial. Brass Base measures 6 1/4 all four sides. Circumference of widest part is 27 1/2.
