This is an unusual find. Cado manufactured many wall units as can be seen on all presentation formats. The desk unit version was rare, in fact this is the only one I’ve seen. The desk has a fixed surface but has an extension flap which can be raised and is supported by two pull out wood supports underneath. The shelf and cabinet are adjustable in height by moving up and down on wall standards. As noted in condition, unit is supplied with only one bi-pass door and has a few areas that are damaged. Unfortunately some of the stains will remain. A total sanding down to raw wood is not warranted or advisable. If you are are interested, please contact me for discussion and pricing. The desk is 31 1/2″ x 47 1/4″ and with extension in place: 67. The top is 28 above the floor. The cabinet is 31 1/2″ wide, 16 3/4″ high and 14 7/8 deep. Excellent condition Poul Cadovius wall unit system with beautiful walnut grain veneer on particle board, and the very hard to find corner shelves. Most pieces are stamped “MADE IN DENMARK”. In addition to what you see in the first two pics, there is one more 79″ wall bracket and three more 8″ shelves included. This will give you an additional bay on either side. This set consists of the following. 5 wall brackets approx. 79 high each (only 4 shown in the pics). 1 secretary cabinet 14 3/4″ deep x 16 3/4″ high. Please note the broken loop on the key (4th pic) -it still works just fine. 2 corner shelves 8 deep. 1 corner shelf 9 1/2 deep. 4 regular 8 deep shelves (one shelf missing one hanger, third pic). 1 regular 9 1/2 deep shelf. The 2-piece corner shelves assembled are approximately 27 1/2″ x 27 1/2″, while the cabinet and regular shelves are the typical 31 1/2 length. The small metal pins under the shelves are not original, and made from metal dowel rod cut to size. Everything is in nice condition and fits together snugly. The shelves are straight, with no warping. There are minor signs of wear on the shelves and cabinet top like light scratches, and some small nicks here and there, but nothing intrusive. No separation or loose veneer. The pieces vary a little in color, but there appears to be no sun fading, and everything looks good together. It looks great as-is, though you might want to oil it, which will lessen the appearance of any scratches. Appears to have never been refinished. For local pick-up only. Extremely rare Poul Cadovius Mid Century Modern tension pole Cado Wall System / room divider. This gorgeous two bay system works with 8′ ceilings and consists of three solid teak poles which are double sided so that it can be used as a room divider by interchanging the shelving between the front and back of the unit or as a wall unit by placing all the shelves along one side. This set will work with other Poul Cadovius Royal System components that use the peg system so that you can add on to the set. The set includes: (1) three (3) solid teak double sides poles with metal tension supports on either end (2) five (5) teak shelves with triangular supports; each shelf branded “Made in Denmark” (3) two (2) magazine / book shelves This two bay system is completely modular and the shelves can be positioned anywhere on the rails. The teak color & grain are outstanding and the cabinets and rails are in very good vintage condition. These Wall Systems are very functional & sought after as they are rare and very collectible. Note: the last few photos are not of this unit but do show how it can be used as a room divider by splitting up the shelving between front and back. Measurements: H 97″ x W 65″; depth depends on if you use as a room divider and put items on both sides of the poles.
