Vintage Mid Century Heywood Wakefield Table & Chairs 5Pc Set Multi-Color RARE. A prototypical Mid-Century matching table and chair set from Heywood-Wakefield, Gardner, Massachusetts, USA. Includes four metal and walnut-wood “C-shaped” chairs finished in their original multi-color leather or leatherette upholstery, and a circular laminated-walnut table top. Similarly-fashioned metal legs and stretchers are painted white and tipped with additional wood accent. Manufacturers tag remains on bottom of one chair. Table measures 47 3/8″ in Diameter and stands 28 5/8″ High. Chairs measure 27″ High x 21″ Wide x 16 Deep. The set doe not look like the traditional style for Heywood-Wakefield. Perhaps this was prototype? Made by a famous Mid Century designer for sure. This came from an estate where the father was a furniture sale rep. He had access to specialty and unusual, one of a kind furniture. Any information would be appreciated! Minor scratches on the tabletop; no more than one noticeable nick. Paint-wear and some staining show on the table and chair’s white metal base/legs. The salmon-colored chair has a thin chunk of wood missing on the back of the rest (picture 3). Sun-fading to the chair’s wooden back-rests. Upholstery is without rips or distinguishable sections of wear. The set can be picked up at our store in Collingswood, NJ. Feedback terms coming soon.
